Trichilia emetica | Natal mahogany tree for sale | Rooiessenhout

Natal mahogany can withstand light frost and is somewhat drought tolerant.  It is  a fast growing, evergreen tree which provides deep shade. Trichilia emetica  has large, once compounded, dark green leaves. This leaf form makes it a good choice for planting in low light conditions (but do so only after consulting an expert!)  Natal Mahogany's root system is non-aggressive. It is a good choice for a large garden (or park). Consider the tree for a hedgerow next to your driveway. . As of late Natal Mahogany seems to be a popular choice as a deep shade focal point in larger gardens.
