Senegalia nigrescens | Knob thorn tree for sale | Knoppiesdoring boom
Senegalia (previously Acacia) nigrescens is frost sensitive, but able to withstand drought cycles. It has a medium growth rate and is deciduous. Acacia nigrescens is easily identified by knob-like protrusions on its trunk and major branches. Knob-thorn does very well in a container and responds well to pruning. Senegalia nigrescens in 'n large pot is a beautiful focal point in a small garden. Depending on the progression of Autumn weather, Knob-thorn will display beautiful autumn colors. Its bright green spring color is magnificent. Knob-thorn is an undiscovered jewel!
