Attributes of Wild-plum trees
Wild Plum withstands light frost and is moderately drought tolerant. It is a medium size, fast growing evergreen tree. Harpephyllum caffrum has large once compounded dark green leaves. Young growth has a reddish color. The tree exhibits a neat, upright growth form and has a non-aggressive root system. Female Wild Plum trees bear beautiful red fruit which attracts many bird species.

A few gardening ideas for Wild-plum
Harpephyllum caffrum can becomes quite large and should only be planted in larger gardens. Fruit of female trees will attract fruit-eating birds to your garden. If you have a small garden, plant Wild Plum in a large pot or container and prune it regularly. Harpephyllum caffrum is a neat, compact shade tree and a popular choice amongst gardeners.
