It is fast growing and has slightly aggressive roots. Its large, twice compound leaves provide good shade. Albizia adianthifolia is somewhat frost sensitive (temperature should not go below -0.5 degrees Celsius) and requires modest water.
Value to honeybees: Nectar, N0-2; Pollen, P2?; Flowering months 7-12, (10-11). (See blog-post "The bee-value of South Africa's trees" for an explanation of codes)

A few gardening ideas for Flat-crown albizia
Flat-crown albizia is an easy grower, but can be a bit messy in late autumn when it sheds its (fine) leaflets. The tree's striking form makes it an excellent choice for a large garden. Albizia adianthfolia's flowers will attract many insects and insect eating birds to the garden. We have no experience relating to planting this species in a large pot, but expect that it will not do well.
